Coffee Farming Communities Need More Than Just Direct Trade

Happy Friday coffee lovers.
A very insightful article came out this week from the wonderful folks over at Perfect Daily Grind, on an issue, we care much about; sourcing coffee through long-term Direct Trade relationships.
We thought the article did a great job highlighting a few of the issues affecting the global coffee market and its ability to be sustainable over the long term. A farmer's coffee export price affects things like their access to health care, water, housing, education, profits, farm upkeep and so much more. Long-Term Direct Trade coffee relationships are one arm of what can be helpful practices to improve livelihoods in coffee growing communities. As such, this is why we constantly search the globe for high-quality coffees that can have a positive impact in coffee-growing communities and bring them to your cup.
